DOGE defunding public services and letting laissez-faire capitalism consume everything?

It's just neoliberalism with ~~extra~~ fewer steps!

Every step counts. I'd rather 1 person ditch Amazon for a week than 10 people do nothing because they don't think 1 week is enough.

Nougat@fedia.io can we please pin this post?

A better solution is to design infrastructure so it is not physically possible to drive onto a rail line, i.e. so the car could not enter the roundabout so fast that they would launch over it and land on the train tracks.

We have been relying on cops for road safety for over a century and it does not work. The answer is not cops. Then there's the issue of cops constantly speeding, killing people in high-speed chases, systemic racism at traffic stops, etc.

As a Canadian, I and many others have been boycotting Amazon for over a month.

Is there a Lemmy community for this?

Going all in on oil and AI is short-sighted to put it mildly.

It's a holiday in Canada, so no work for US companies. And many Canadians are already going hard on boycotting american products. Solidarity.

Print them out and tape them up. Online only goes so far.

I think it's time to stop dunking on people and start welcoming those willing to learn and do better.

You are welcome to modify the title to make it more accurate and less exonerative if you' like.
