Those pictures seems to be from 2022 when families in need were given snacks in Tula, Russia because of dairy overproduction? Oh come on! It would have been so funny!

dairy overproduction

So, they had too much of milk-stuff and instead of giving people cheese, they gave money to PepsiCo?
That feels hard to understand.

  • or were cheese rolls and milk cartons just not photogenic enough?

I doubt they would have made such photoshoots in peoples home if not for propaganda purposes…

Despite Russias being part-ishly in europe, its important to not forget that its not a first world country! For example many of the older soviet buildings do not have indoor toilets!

older soviet do not have indoor toilets

Isn't most of Russia frozen most of the year?
I would assume them to be on top of this, considering, having to go out for toilet in winters won't be easy on older people and children,
But maybe they just like to endure. That'd be a pretty valid explanation really, as the cold would also mean, reduced contamination problems, so one could just make manure and use it in their personal lawn.

I don't seem to understand how their market could be in such a bad condition, as to be unsustainable without international input.
I mean, they have people there, no? So no matter whether or not there is a govt supporting them, they should be able to do something.

…do you seriously think that its up to liking to go outside for a toilet? If there is no sewage pipe, which is an expensive infrastructure to set up, then there are no inside toilets…

…you think inside toilets were removed at the beginning of war or what? They were built without

removed at the beginning of war

What would give you the impression that I think so?

All I know is that plumbing is done by people and so is designing/renovating a house.
And if the govt. is so lax that there are buildings without toilets and areas without sewage, they are probably going to let people renovate their stuff without requiring extra paperwork.

In that case, it boils down to whether or not the people have the means to add a toilet to their house.
If there is a prosperous community in an area without govt. provided sewage, they can make local sewage lines leading to a community septic tank or even a manure + biogas plant.

The more difficult cases would be multi-owner flats, but are there going to be flats so old that they don't have toilets?
The only thing I can consider making it very difficult, is if there is not running water available, which would then increase the power costs for a sewage.

I don’t seem to…

In your entire second pargraph you talked about not knowing the economic impact of war (regardless of anything; 37% of their yearly budget is going that way for 5 years now, take a guess…) while we were talking about indoor toilets…

Like… What else do you think, what does that lead others to? That, I think is in connection with your writing style, like 9/10 of it doesn’t add anything! Very much so like an ai 🫠

Also no, you think there is enough space for individuals little pipes going up to the 10th floor? Either a council of the inhabitants are called in which they vote to fund it for all the building and are willing to take up a loan to finance (in Hungary the state gives a 0% loan for such purposes against your house) or naught

You got to put an '/s' over there.
Or do you expect me to think that you are serious? In that case, I want to be looking at proper examples.

By "multi owner flats", I meant more like 3 - 4 floors. Something that can be managed by a mediocre contractor nowadays and even then I'd expect them to make proper plumbing. Sure, it might start getting seepage in 10-15 years and might require extra maintenance due to the design standards not meeting low temperature conditions, but there would be plumbing.
Instead you are going to say that someone made a 10 floor building (implying that the said area would be populous enough to require a 10 floor building, instead of being able to develop horizontally out of the area) and then somehow not have money for sewage plumbing?
Might as well omit the electrical wiring, taps etc.

economic impact of war

What exactly are these "older" buildings that you are talking about that, for some reason, are younger than my smartphone and never saw the peace time between wars?

[–] theUwUhugger@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

A 3-4 level industrial panel holds about 70-100 families; there is not enough space in the walls for individual pipes to go up and down! Whats more to it, would you let your wall be teared down because your upper neighbors want piping?

Again, you don’t have a singular fucking clue in the rest of your lil paragraph… A 15 year old pipe seeping installed by a contractor? Thats a new pipe! What if instead of writing shit something about you no idea, you go do something with yourself?
