Right wing media media is trying to spin the Politico chat leaks as just "kids being kids" because of the group's name, The Young Republicans, ignoring the fact that "young" here means 18-35 years old (IIRC) and several members implicated hold office or positions in the GOP

Not sure being any age makes some of those messages remotely acceptable (I'm not enough in the loop to know much about it, other than a couple of things that were said).
It doesn't, but it definitely makes the already flimsy "they're just dumb kids saying dumb things" excuse completely garbage
Well, if the person writing them was 5, it would raise a completely different set of concerns.
