Bruce Springsteen's breakout hit was about getting out of Jersey ASAP.
I know youre joking, but so others know - Springsteen's breakout hit was Born to Run. Its about escaping the pressures if life. About going for a long drive away from the factories (blue collar family), getting away from it all on the road.
He still lives in NJ, he's a proponent of LGBTQ rights, believes strongly in the dignity of work (before anyone misconstrues this, this means that all jobs should be respected equally), he donates his time and his money on a local, state, and regional level in campaigns to address hunger, resources for low income families, antipoverty grants through his own foundation, etc. He's also been this way since the 1980s so not new either.
Edit: Just to note, my uncle is a massive Springsteen fan, so I have heard about him basically from childhood on up.
I'm not a fan but I definitely think the boss is cool AF.
Same. I am not the biggest fan of his music, but from what I've read, he seems like a somewhat decent human being
