An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.

1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

I ate some more rice Chex this morning- this time with Cocoa Pebbles for flavor. With whole milk, in a glass bowl.

I do plan to finish the rest of what's pictured, I just wanted to give you all a peek into the insanity before it was just chocolate-ish milk.

Sorry again if these posts are too wild. Have a nice day, guys.

Hey I stared using oat milk for breakfast cereal. It works pretty well.

Can confirm. Works well with soy milk variants too. Though not worth the price if you care about nutrition. Almond milk makes for an overpriced fancy cereal.

Are you saying cow's milk is more nutritious? That makes sense I guess... I think they add vitamins to the oat milk I drink, I'll have to check.

No. I mean to say that cereal is a terrible way to start the day. It's just carbs. Which make you hungry quicker. Egg and some vegetables baked in are fantastic!

I typically just eat something small and inconsequential for breakfast; I do a lot of manual labor and climbing stairs, so I work it off. My big issue is that soft drinks keep working their way back into my life 😬

Agreed I usually eat cereal for dessert, lel.

[–] Shou@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

Same. It's really good dessert. Especially if it has chocolate. I love tresor and special k with chocolate shavings. Soo damn good.

I may give it a try. I like almond milk sometimes.

The problem I have with almond milk is I read it takes up a disproportionate amount of water to grow the almonds.

[–] OldManBOMBIN@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

Is that right? Well. Fuck.

I think in most countries this would be classed as confectionery and taxed more lol

[–] OldManBOMBIN@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Thank God I live in the undisputed greatest country on Earth completely of my own volition. Sarcasm.

[–] Mr_Blott@feddit.uk 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Ah désolé, je n'ai pas réalisé !

I was just lying, this place is a real double-edged sword. I kinda don't want to be here anymore.
