Recently had to come to terms with the fact that when I was a kid I thought of George Costanza as "the fat bald guy on Seinfeld" but in present day I am now older and possibly also fatter than George was on the show.

I'm older, fatter and considerably balder. Got a sweet ass beard though.

I wouldn't call it sweet, but yes I have that too

Homer Simpson used to be comically fat. Several Simpsons episodes are about his insatiable hunger. I know plenty of people who are way bigger than that cartoon character

Homer Simpson got on disability for being 300lbs, and he had to work comically hard to gain the 70 pounds to hit that mark.

...so that insatiable, ridiculous weight he was already at was only 230 freedoms. Easily half the adult population is near or above that. Hell that's not even particularly overweight if you're tall and somewhat in shape.

I saw ‘blink-182’ spray painted on the sidewalk in my neighborhood a couple weeks ago. It’s still going strong

1985 by bowling for soup in 2005 was about 20 years prior.

It's now 20 years after that song came out.

Edit: whoops it was a 2004 song. Meaning, actual 1985 was only about 19 years prior, and now that song is 21 years old. So, there's more time between now and that song than there was between that song and actual 1985.

Exactly my feelings when I heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit" called "classic rock" a few years ago.

I felt this when at Sum 41 a few weeks ago.

But fuck though GOB and Sum were fucking amazing.
