I've come across someone from India who is looking for an instance recommendation, and I'm not sure what to recommend. Any suggestions?

Blaze's US/EU recommendations are a good rule of thumb, but I think It might be useful to compile a more detailed list of country recommendations, or at least one for each continent.

Unfortunately there's no servers in most parts of asia sadly. iirc the only one that existed was a turkish one but i can't find it.

lemmy.com.tr, perhaps?

Yeah, I had a look at lemmy.fediverse.observer/list, and there wasn't much. What would be the best recommendation for Redditors in South Asia looking to switch to Lemmy? Should we point them to a general instance like lemm.ee?

There's one server for Malaysia called Monyet.cc that is ironically hosted in Singapore.

Is it stable enough (politically and uptime) to be the go-to recommendation for Redditors in South Asia looking to switch to Lemmy?

Sorry I’m not familiar enough with the server.

I never seen any India/asia specific subs tbh but that could be my federation.
