So are amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, LSD, DXM, heroin,...
See a pattern?
Edit: in case people are wondering, I'm not saying "OMG big pharma is a drug dealer" but rather that a lot of substances have been researched in a pharmaceutical context, and often these were found to have effects beyond their main one. And sometimes, people just self-medicate.
I did ask whether xanax is something that people often take recreationally. Based on the responses that doesn't seem to be the case. So what IS the pattern?
And I really just want to know what the meme is going on about. "don't take drugs recreationally or for selfmedication" is a very different discussion from "don't take the drugs that were prescribed to you for your diagnosed illness by a doctor".
Well, people do take Xanax recreationally. If you want to get an impression, read /r/xanax
No but its popular among over stressed and depressed people. (Same for self harm)
So ... is this meme saying that Hello Kitty is against taking your prescribed medicine?
There used to be memes going about showing hello kitty characters doing drugs, s//h'ing, etc. in dingy rooms. I think it was an outlet from people who were suffering
Thanks. What's "s//h’ing"?
!self harming!<
Thanks for the answer. Are those supposed to be spoiler tags? "SELF HARM" is already in the post itself ...
