like daddit for the fediverse but we all eat pizza with ranch and say "ope" a lot. all dads and non-dads are welcome. ranch on pizza is recommended but not required. ope is mandatory.

Friends who have babies
I got snipped before having kids. You have no idea how many people think I'm an alien for this.
Like, if I came out as trans and chose to have a reassignment, they'd be more understanding.
I truly believe I was called to be a father (among other things). I love my kids more than I thought possible.
But my god it can be draining. Whenever someone says they don't want kids or aren't sure if they do or not, I completely understand. No one should ever be "talked into" having kids.
Some people know they want kids and look forward to being a parent their whole lives. Others are like you and know it's not for them. Either feeling is so valid!
It does get better. Mine are 1 and almost 4 and you get breaks but dear god, it is hard sometimes. On the flip side, it is an amazing feeling when your kid shows you full amount of love another human can possibly show.
