It's not unreasonable to ask for a NSFW tag so I don't casually scroll into an image with the business end of a pocket pussy on my feed.
I think maybe they were just trying to be funny, not disagree with your request per se.
Considering that this is a copypasta, yes, they were trying to be funny.
