That video... is lacking. So many words, but no real beginner content IMO. It is heavy on prose and short on examples and their impact. I'm reading over the list provided in the video comments and it is, while still very wordy, much better.

actual title is: Ableist language - a basic introduction

i think it does a disservice to remove that key word “ableist” from the title here :)

I mean look, its already being downvoted with this milquetoast title

my trans shit was downvoted too

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

of course i don’t have communication with those who downvoted, but my knee jerk worry is the downvotes were due to the nonspecificity of the title. not sure of course but that is my thought.

I posted another video on ableism and it got over 10 downvotes and it was much more specific in the title

ah in that case i stand corrected :(

as a queer disabled person, progressive spaces are far from ones I feel safe in.

Have you considered posting to a Blahaj community? They trend toward being much more accepting.

I tried to make an account there and was denied, so I think somebody else will have to for me lol

Anyone can post there as long as your instances are federated.
