/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

This but replace the picture on the left by a blue barrel

[–] sundray@kbin.earth 7 points 1 week ago

You ever try to put a barrel in a submission hold? It's IMPOSSIBLE!

[–] T156@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

A hollow blue barrel, at that.

[–] dumbass@leminal.space 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

If Worf had faced it like a Klingon instead of cowering like a human, the barrel would have been destroyed and he wouldn't have broken his back.

Except that Worf tends to get his butt kicked by any guest star.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago

Well, yes.

How else are the guest stars supposed to show they have been working out?

That barrel deserved its own credit.

Some say they’re still circling each other, unstoppable glory and force meeting unpunchable glory seeking eyes.

Some others say they’ll square off until the end of time, or when they get old and Alexander and Guinan tap in. Whichever comes first.

Worf was OP even before he got the warrior monk class change in DS9.

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well he does do it. I can gladly point you to the footage.

A couple of times, even. Worf whoops his ass at the order of the batleth event when they are changling hunting, and then years later when gowron goes full nuts in the coconuts near the end of the dominion war.

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think killing the guy cements his dominance.

[–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Ehh, being able to kill a guy and opting not to also asserts your dominance.

You could even say he dominated him during the klingon civil war, when he refused to kill the son of duras. That was him disobeying Klingon heritage and cultural norms by rejecting Gowron's prompt to kill the boy.

"Fuck you, I don't do what you tell me" is a pretty dominate stance.

My dude on the right already has his rash guard on

TNG Worf would get pwned in a slap fight with an infant.

DS9 Work would absolutely demolish his opponents even if 4v1.
