Easy solution: Don't go. Don't do business with them. Sell any American assets you own and don't look back.

As an American I agree. We need the world to boycott america. The people and institutional leadership roles in America have demonstrated that their more than willing to fold like a house of cards to the fascist regime but foreigners seem not to feel that pressure so they need to step up and Destroy America

Fucking hell can we not ruin relations with Japan before I get the chance to study abroad there? I have to wait until next spring at earliest chance, but I wanted to wait until later to go there... 😩

you might find yourself fleeing there at this rate.

Joke’s on them, I have no social media

[–] Opinionhaver@feddit.uk 5 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

..they stated on a social media comment.

[–] HowAbt2morrow@futurology.today 9 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

This space definitely doesn’t count as social media.

[–] blakenong@lemmings.world 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Right. Can you imagine 50 years from now they say to you, “you’re not allowed in because of that one time when you were twelve you blah blah blah…”

It’s a big joke just like the tariffs.

If they don't like you, they'll just get the border control chat bot to hallucinate your crime.

“It’s the death certificate of the land of the free,” posted one X user. “The United States is now pursuing policies similar to those of China’s Cultural Revolution. Considering how destructive the Cultural Revolution was to China, I think that if things continue this way, the United States will decline more than we can imagine. I can only pray that this will not happen, but I am currently feeling pessimistic,” wrote another.

This is horribly invasive and everyone should make burner accounts to give them instead. We need to sabotage the fascist Border Police and all their efforts to harm people

Would be nice if the article defined what 'SNS' is. I gather it's social media, but what is the initialism?

[–] Dhs92@programming.dev 5 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Social Networking Service. It's a common initialism in Japan

[–] taco@piefed.social 1 points 4 hours ago

It's common in other formal contexts too, such as academic research.

[–] xep@fedia.io 1 points 14 hours ago

Guess I'm not going.
