Why is the media not blaring the alarms?!

I mean, I know the answer--they're owned by complicit parties.

But still.... They have to see what's happening. Being fired for speaking freely is not the worst thing in the world.

The US has no history of this. It'll be really hard to convince the comfortable masses to go all in.

But not the owners. They'll be able to buy up those tasty, cheap stocks.

They're letting it happen because he is supporting the oligarchy, giving tax breaks to people who don't need them, etc.

And a lot of the people.... Maybe not so much. They put us here.

Tubal ligations are generally not reversible. They're considered a permanent form of contraception and any doctor who performans them makes this clear to their patients.

Despite this anti-immigrant push from the far right, we are very accepting of immigrants in general. If you've lived in the US for a while and speak English, we assume you are American and we consider you to be American. You don't even need to have citizenship to necessarily be considered American by the average person. You just have to have been here for a while. This is much more open and accepting and than the vast majority of countries are.

There are reasons women have very often chosen not to use voice chat in games for decades now. You will get some sort of harassment. Often that harassment is framed as being well-intentioned ("I'm not part of the problem--I talk to girls!" -"Okay, but maybe talking to them just because they have vaginas is still not desirable.")

I spent a few years living in the international district (Chinatown, Japantown, Little Saigon) and people would set off fireworks and firecrackers in the neighborhood for days or even a couple of weeks after New Year's. And then again on Chinese New Year's. And there's also this group that likes to go and bang on drums while marching around the neighborhood at those times. It was awful and it made my dogs so stressed out.

Now that I live in a mostly Vietnamese neighborhood outside of the international district, I only hear fireworks on New Year's Eve and Chinese New Year's. It's great not having to worry about whether or not I should drug my dogs for days on end.

I personally enjoy fireworks displays, but I don't think they should be allowed by unlicensed people at their own homes.
