We're doing juice memes now?

I'm off to bed, but I hope somebody makes a 'juice that turns you into beans' meme before morning so I don't have to

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 6 points 9 hours ago

"My God... The juice is loose!"

[–] the_trash_man@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

But im so thristy

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

When someone takes a sip, does an equal amount of elixir drain from each? Is this a finite resource?

[–] weird@sub.wetshaving.social 7 points 9 hours ago

No, each bottle is an independent entity

[–] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

A wise man say: If we drink the juice, are we not ourselves changed?

[–] pruwybn@discuss.tchncs.de 38 points 21 hours ago (5 children)

Is the new bottle identical to the bottle after the sip was taken? That would mean each copy has less juice than the one before it. So although the total amount of juice increases when a copy is made (at least until the sip is larger than the remaining juice), it would still run out eventually.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 8 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (2 children)

Bottle prime would still have the same amount though, and infinite copies of that (minus 1 drop) could be made of if

[–] pruwybn@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

It would have less every time someone drinks from it.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 3 points 12 hours ago

oh... doy. I thought I had this figured out

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 5 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

You could also refill the first bottle after each clone, then all cloned bottles would be full -2 sips.

But only if you could resist sipping it yourself before refilling.

[–] pruwybn@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 10 hours ago

Good point, I hadn't thought of that.

[–] CaptainBlagbird@lemmy.world 22 points 21 hours ago

Good question. The same goes for the label. If I rip it away and burn it before drinking, would I then turn into a bottle that also doesn't have a label, making it even more dangerous to other people.

[–] weird@sub.wetshaving.social 10 points 19 hours ago

Now these are the real questions

[–] HowAbt2day@futurology.today 5 points 18 hours ago

And even faster if you pour it into a glass like a decent human versus drinking straight from the bottle like my mom would say, “a goddam animal like your father”.

[–] spicytuna62@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

Once all of the fuller bottles are depleted, we're gonna see some exponential growth in the bottle population.

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

ok but how does this works? if i pour it on the ground and lick it, do i turn into a puddle? or it stops working because technically it's no longer a "bottle of juice"?

[–] kkj@lemmy.dbzer0.com 22 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

It just turns you into the same bottle. The juice is what transforms you; the bottle is just a convenient inbuilt warning.

[–] gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 9 hours ago (3 children)

what if you pour it into the ocean? eventually it will become the drinking water for everyone. what if people turn only a little bit into a bottle because of the small dosis? how do you turn into a bottle just a little bit?

[–] kkj@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 hours ago

They'd get a hell of a lot less than a sip. I assume that nothing happens until you have a complete sip, since it seems to be instantaneous (the bottle in the foreground has cartoon "pop" lines).

[–] OneWomanCreamTeam@sh.itjust.works 5 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

It says "even a sip", so I suppose it's a question of what is the minimal amount of juice that counts as a sip. If it's diluted enough it might only half transform you into a bottle of juice.

how would that look..?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 9 hours ago

I'm a little bit of a bottle, short and stout,

Here is my handle, here is my AHHHHH OH GOD IT HURTS! KILL ME NOW AND END MY SUFFERING, DEAR MERCIFUL GOD!

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Makes sense. I feel there should be law mandating the juice be sold in the original bottle so that consumers can be well informed what they are transforming into.

[–] CaptainBlagbird@lemmy.world 18 points 21 hours ago (3 children)

But what does it taste like?

[–] gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

the sweetest nectar that you've ever tasted

[–] the_trash_man@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

How is a bottle able to type?

[–] HowAbt2day@futurology.today 16 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

It tastes like the other bottles. They’re identical.

[–] pruwybn@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

But what do the other bottles taste like?

[–] HowAbt2day@futurology.today 2 points 5 hours ago

The first bottle, IIRC.

[–] cdf12345@lemm.ee 2 points 20 hours ago

It’s impossible to ever know

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 25 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

I know I would become one of those juices

[–] bandwidthcrisis@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

"If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the- World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH, the paint would't even have time to dry."

“Here, drink this”

[–] inconel@lemmy.ca 6 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

Hypothetically asking, can I get one and serve in a glass to someone else?

[–] weird@sub.wetshaving.social 6 points 18 hours ago (1 children)
[–] inconel@lemmy.ca 7 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Ok. I'm getting really hypothetical here, but leaving this at party can spread the juice quickly and even wider spread if it gets into water system. Whole life on earth will turn juice soon...

[–] FireIced@lemmy.super.ynh.fr 1 points 13 hours ago

You're a true villain

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

Ha! Kid and Play for someone of my intelligence! All you have to do is drink an Odd just a sip and the rest of the Juice is yours!

[–] loomy@lemy.lol 1 points 20 hours ago

but maybe these were all just originally bottles?
