Haha nice one
Fallen leaves, fallen leaves, fallen leaves on the ground
“This artist”. Great job to the person who created the original meme on giving credit. Otherwise a beautiful piece.
I don't see a link in your comment for some reason. I can just search for the name online so thank you for providing it. Just wanted to let you know. ;)
It's this one: https://visualflood.com/post/japanese-artist-lito-meticulously-hand-carves-intricate-scenes-into-leaves

I'm using boost and I don't see the link at all. How many links have I missed! Oh no! I must re-read every comment on Lemmy!
Wow, those are even more amazing. The wave? Good lord
Thanks for finding it!
These are gorgeous, thank you!
AI witch-hunting crowd appears in 3....2...1..
Not sure I would call AI, but it is strikingly easy to mask out the leaf with a design and leave a blue sky behind with Photoshop or similar. Especially compared to the absurd amount of diligent work required to cut a real leaf.
Now, the creation of the cute design could be a skilled vector artist or AI, but to me it doesn't scream AI.
Middle option: the design was made digitally (by "hand" or AI), and then they used a laser cutter to cut the leaf.
The lines of the drawing definitely feel a bit too perfect for it to be fully manual, they scream "vector" to me.
Edit: I see now it was the surprise third option, they're Japanese and it's meticulously hand crafted (probably also folded over a thousand times).
That's amazing but I was immediately wondering why the big bunny was robbing the smaller ones
Well, that's ridiculously awesome.
Gotta be using a Ginzu brand knife or some shit. And kudos on the finger nail!
Reminds me of the 1800s silhouette art that was in vogue for a bit. Very cool!
