"Military aged male" is such a fucking disgusting phrase to begin with, I don't think anybody should be using it outside of very specific contexts.

It has the same energy as "breeding aged female."

Its who the US military was allowed to randomly kill in Vietnam.

[–] SinAdjetivos@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And was expanded to include literal children during the Iraq war.

"the dead babies were military age terrorists"

Just to clarify:

The military is generally barred under federal laws from taking part in domestic law enforcement. Noem’s request may be a step toward the administration sidestepping those laws by invoking the Insurrection Act, two legal experts said in interviews.

Every. Accusation. Is. A. Confession.

Like I keep saying, the military should refuse orders and arrest Trump and his ghouls.

I asked in another thread if there's some media coverage of what the troops themselves think, in LA. Or how they act. You wouldn't happen to know some?

[–] Jiggle_Physics@sh.itjust.works 37 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Yeah, they want a civil war

[–] AlexLost@lemm.ee 23 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I think they want a world war actually. This is all grounds to get their way so they can start trying to take what they want by force. The rhetoric has already started, his laying down crumbs so they can pick them up later and it'll will be in the back of people's minds already. Russia is testing the waters, the USA will be soon to follow.

oh, certainly not out of the question. However their own playbook determines the cultural divide between them and others is at an impasse, and they will have to make people conform, or get rid of them.

Iraq/Afghanistan? Russia is following in the steps of the US here.

[–] AlexLost@lemm.ee 1 points 13 hours ago

What? I am talking about conquest. Wasn't aware Iraq was a US colony or that anyone ever had a victory in Afghanistan? Get your head out of your butt.

Not really. They just keep pushing in a direction that makes it inevitable and then blame the people who resist for the violence they then inflict. They would rather everyone just do what they want without complaint. But if the law is broken and someone keeps stealing all your stuff, you have to either let them or try to stop them. As soon as you try and stop them, they'll claim you started the violence. There is no winning against this, violent resistance or slavery seems inevitable.

That was always the plan, and it’s worked many times before on smaller scales, this is what they have been practicing for for literal decades now and they’ve managed to get all of their pieces into place. We have no valid options, this is going to lead to large scale conflict and there is fuck all to be done to stop it at this point. We lose or we lose fighting.

I am not sure where I saw this, but I’m pretty sure it was one of the treehouse of horror/Halloween special episodes of The Simpsons with the school was running out of food to serve in the cafeteria, and they decided to punish the children by sending them to the cafeteria where they were Cooked into the food. By the end of the episode, even children who made the slightest mistake such as dropping a pencil in class eaten and served to the faculty

That’s what this feels like to me California literally dropped a pencil and now they’re gonna get eaten alive

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 2 points 13 hours ago

It was treehouse of horror, that episode has lived rent free in my head since I was like 5.
