I'm not quite sure how โEnvoโ from Canada came up with the idea of having the semi-enclosed vehicle built for the EU by โGeobikeโ in Poland. But I'm pleased that things are moving forward at all on this topic.
If the price stays below 7500,- EUR, I could well imagine the bike for commuting from autumn to spring, for pensioners, or for families with child trailers.
As far as I know, there's also a fully enclosed version. Might be handy for people who want to bike in the rain, but don't want to wear a poncho (although, imho a poncho is still more effective than anything)
Sadly the model with doors is no more. That was from the first interation of it. They filed for creditor protection and then ENVO Drive bought the rights and the models they've been making do not have a door option. The pictures you see online for example from the trial at UBC weren't made by ENVO Drive.
If it had doors I'd be buying one for sure. So for now I keep hoping another company will come out with a fully enclosed trike.

I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult to add in doors by oneself.
A velomobile would also be cool (they hella look sci-fi!), but they have the downside of difficulty with looking around you, and have more difficulty with accelerating than a normal or normal electric bicycle. However, the velomobile would also be more energy efficient with speeds above 25 km/hr, due to less air friction. I think they'd be especially suitable for longer distances.

Is there space for a kid?
Another victim of lawfare. If you design a crappy three-wheeler, you voluntarily step into the lawfare trap set by fossil fuel industry to sabotage you. The correct solution is for the velomobile industry to attack the unjust laws and make four-wheelers be treated the same as three-wheelers.

Trikes are only good for saving pennies at the cost of driveability and usability - they should not be incentivised by law. They are slow and teetery around curves, unless very low centre of gravity over the two-wheeled axle. Four-wheelers are more stable and can have a cargo space or a back seat between the rear wheels.
