Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

Was born with super small feet in the 1st percentile as well as hands due to a benign genetic issue. Totally healthy but shoe shopping is always awkward. Have decent balance and can walk and run fine as my calf muscles are quite developed to compensate. No, the myth isn't true.

Look. I gotta know for sure. Show that cock.

[–] Leggomylego@lemmings.world 57 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I don't think this is the appropriate forum for that bro.

[–] molten@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Where we need to go? I'll go any length to see yours.

I'm sorry I'm joking.

Unless...

A while back there was this 5ft something guy with size 13 feet. You should find a doctor and swap feet.

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 27 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Isn't there another guy on Lemmy with unusually large feet for his height? You two should be friends!

[–] CluckN@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

I heard P.T. Barnum is hiring.

This again?

[–] trinsec@piefed.social 32 points 3 days ago (1 children)

At least you get to wear the cooler shoes? The big sizes usually look so boring while the kids get all the fun!

[–] Leggomylego@lemmings.world 102 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Yes these Optimus Prime sandals are my party sandals.

[–] Leggomylego@lemmings.world 21 points 3 days ago

Thanks I'll take it!

[–] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 4 points 2 days ago

Man I’m jealous as hell. I have a small head so I weak kids sunglasses (specifically spider man at the moment, because they are sort of like 10-year-old-boy size with nothing printed on the lense, and girl glasses for that age fuckin suck) but I would love to rock kids shoes too!

Kids get all the cool stuff. And you, apparently.

How many pair of light up shoes do you have?

[–] kazerniel@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago (1 children)

ffs I had to fire up Tor browser to look at the photo from the UK... I guess I'll start using it more regularly with sites blocking the entire country in response to these overreaching new laws -.-

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

I'm in Florida and have to use my OpenVPN server for porn. Freedom!

[–] fakeman_pretendname@feddit.uk 26 points 3 days ago (1 children)

For international readers, that's a size 2 in UK/Australia, and approximately a size 33.5 - 34 European.

Apparently it's also roughly a 210 - 215 mondopoint length.

[–] Pulptastic@midwest.social 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Srsly tho why do they need a totally different sizing scale for ski boots?

XKCD Standards

[–] fakeman_pretendname@feddit.uk 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I knew nothing of this! It would appear ski boots use mondopoint divided by 10, so it's centimetres instead of millimetres.

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

“There are now 16…”

[–] axEl7fB5@lemmy.cafe 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 3 points 2 days ago

Should've made the feet smaller

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Stop posting this shit. Blocking this bullshit account.

I think this is your 3rd post so far. Slight red flags make me think you're Lemmy points farming

Whoa cool--you're like ... the opposite of a hobbit O_O
you could complement the vibe by living in a treehouse,
which is sort of the conceptual opposite of a hole in the ground!!

I was about to say, it looks like there are some bones or something missing in the front part of the foot there. Like the tendons are skipping over and attaching to something farther back than they should. And the toes seem like they aren't allowed to stretch out fully. I think I saw that condition on some foot doctor show. Very interesting anomaly.

I'm totally relieved to hear about your weiner though. Glad you mentioned that. ✔️

[–] Leggomylego@lemmings.world 44 points 3 days ago (2 children)

This is another photo of my foot compared to my friend's size 10 shoe. It's relatively "normal" looking but just shrunk down. And yes, it is a relief that this didn't spread to other areas.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago

lol yeah, quite a difference!

it is a relief that this didn't spread to other areas.

Roger that, glad you reaffirm again! I was about to ask for a DP but I feel safe again now.

Where's the guy with the ridiculously huge feet? We need to get you in touch so you can balance each other out.

[–] dkppunk@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I once knew a woman who was just under 5 feet and wore women’s size 10 shoes (men’s 8). She called herself a hobbit all the time.

[–] Thavron@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago

Yeah I was wondering the same thing.

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

6’-5” with size 16. I’ve met people taller with just size 11 or 13 and I’m like, damnit! Once fell out of a kayak because my feet got stuck, and when I do partner dance I gotta be so careful in closed positions like in Balboa.

If I had to pick an extreme I’d go small.

[–] ScrambledEggs@lazysoci.al 2 points 2 days ago

On the bright side, you get cooler shoes. I can't find ninja turtle shoes in my size

[–] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Genuine question, do your feet do a good job of keeping you on your feet? Like as far as you or any doctors know, are you prone to not staying on your feet any more or less than say someone with average sized feet for your height?

[–] NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

He said in the OP that his balance is fine. Lemmy's design can sometimes make you not notice that the OP has text, so you might have missed it.

About balance, you might be interested in my comment as well. If you can't find it: https://discuss.tchncs.de/comment/19894355

Off topic: is there an instance-agnostic way of linking to a post/comment?

[–] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

It's a bit weird that this comment was replied to or upvoted because I deleted it right after making it, at least two hours ago. I thought I should double check the post about my question, saw the answer so deleted my comment thinking what a dummy I was. Maybe some instances are out of sync again.

[–] NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 3 days ago

yeah, sounds like a syncing issue

[–] Alloi@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

cant believe someones complaining about a cheaper carbon footprint (literally) and the ability to get their hands into pringle cans.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I dated a girl in middle school who had this issue. You used a wheelchair, not because he legs didn't work, but her feet were to small to support her body.

[–] Mubelotix@jlai.lu 2 points 2 days ago

I have seen many gazans walk without even having feet. I would guess she could stand for some time but would get tired, hence the wheelchair?

[–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

As a trans woman that is about 6 feet tall, I would kill for this lol

[–] kippinitreal@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

I would kill for this lol

Shia LaBeouf just do it

[–] over_clox@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Everyone is built differently, be proud of yourself!

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

You're getting more artistic in your feet pics I see

[–] idiotdoomspiral@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Its gonna be ok!

[–] tatann@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I understand your struggle but I'm 6'1 too and size 46 (EU) which seems like an appropriate size for this height, and while I don't feel that tall (most young colleagues are getting taller and taller), it's almost impossible to find size 46 in shoe stores so I have to buy shoes online (and not try them beforehand).

I really don't care about fashion, so the comfort of shoes is the only thing important to me. So I've been buying online the same pair of shoes (brand and model) for 10 years.

Looking at those feet I wonder if you would be awesome at bouldering?
