I still can't quite solve a full random mix puzzle, but within the seemingly large subset of cube/dice puzzle possibilities, if I keep exact track of what puzzle steps I stack onto each other, I can solve it blindfolded or behind my back, and not necessarily in the same exact order.

Yeah, cubes aren't meant to be done blindfolded, but there really is a subset of scrambles that lend themselves towards it..

Got it on a whim from a random flea market in Pass Christian Mississippi for $4

Edit: Not like I expected much out of it anyways, I already planned on modding it the day I got it.

Fair enough. I've seen other Lemmy users using Imgur links to post additional images before.

I don't have an account, and even if I did, apparently Imgur has blocked the UK recently..

Our pup seems to like cheddar cheese. Again, not all that much, you don't want your dog constipated of course, but it just might change the smell or taste enough that the pup might not notice the medicine as much, if at all.

If not cheese, maybe whatever treats your dog prefers..

Still not sure how to properly share multiple images on Lemmy, guess you might have to just take my word on it.

For anyone that isn't familiar with cubing, the only way a busted cube is supposed to be reassembled is in the fully solved state. Otherwise it's practically impossible to solve if you just randomly reassemble it.

But in this case, last night I was practicing, and most of a whole side just popped loose in my hand, mid-puzzle. I knew exactly where I was with the puzzle though, carefully snapped all the pieces back in their appropriate mid-puzzle positions, and managed to successfully solve it from there ๐Ÿ‘

Note: The photo above is a recreation of last night's cube breakdown, same puzzle sequence though.

Don't mind the dots, that's my own custom mod...

Minus the pill issue, we've found that our medium size dog (21 pounds, Dachsund/Beagle mix breed we think) doesn't seem to have much appetite, unless we mix in a bit of shredded cheese (not all that much, just like a single 3 finger pinch), and a bit of water if it's dry kibble..

Edit: It might help to add something the pup likes to try to cover up the smell or taste of the pill...

It's USB-C rechargeable, super bright, about as long as my middle finger, and has multiple modes including strobe light and even SOS modes.

The lid safety switch failed, in the on position!

I had to disassemble the whole thing, without touching its touch sensitive activator thing or the electrodes, to desolder the negative battery wire.

Yes the thing was live the whole time, I got damn lucky I didn't electrocute and burn the shit out of myself in the process!

I'll be keeping the metal case and screws and pins in a separate bag and keep everything put up in a box for a rainy day repair, when/if ever I find a proper replacement button.

My mom had bought this for me as a 2023 Christmas present. I've already had to do maintenance, cleaning and repairs on it over 20 times since I got it, and they highly recommend you don't ever open them up, exactly because of the risk of electrocution.

Generally it is actually safe to disassemble, as long as you don't open the lid while servicing. But this was different, the lid safety switch got stuck on..

Sigh, it's been a good run, it's lasted me about 21 months, but I guess I'll be going back to good old fashioned Bic lighters. โ˜น๏ธ

There were probably about 12 crackers total, this was the longest word I could spell out of the 9 crackers that weren't broken.

This question comes from watching the TV right now, and they're talking about Bruce Willis. I feel bad for him, I really do..

Bruce Willis apparently has what they call Frontotemporal Dementia. That's a tounge twister mouthful for most average people, I can only assume Mr. Willis probably can't even remember the name of his own condition..

Why isn't there a 'patient-friendly' easy to remember name for disorders that literally affect a person's brain and memory?

Like shit, I bet most people wouldn't know what polytetrafluoroethylene is, but they gave everyone a simple name to know it by, teflon.

So, why don't they have simpler terms for brain disorders so the suffering patient might be able to talk to their own doctor privately..?

The top one is diffused, bottom one untouched and only shining forward like a laser.

This is obviously no special flashlight, but rather a simple example of how to fix/address the obvious problems with blinding LED headlights mentioned in this post..

Yes, apparently it was made in China, but I've had this thing for at least 15 years, and it still works just fine ๐Ÿ‘

And yes I do still have the test leads LOL!

I didn't ask him, I just did the thing. Like hell, I got tired of some of the buttons randomly not working.

Now every button works perfectly, plus I did a little modding to make it work at a broader angle...

I know high fiber foods is a large part of it, but is there anything else to it?

After breaking the larger one open, apparently they were chips that were stuck in their fryer since before Covid, totally burnt and been frying for years it seems, and of course I didn't eat those chunks.

At least the rest of the chips in the bag were okay.
