They don't tell you how much they are going to pay you, nor how long the contract would be.
It mentions full time employment. If the org is based in Germany then I might expect similar wages for a similar company there.
You still shouldn't apply for jobs that don't give the salary up front.
This is different from culture to culture. Where I'm living, it would be considered as bad to give the salary.
I honestly have a hard time imagining how this works. Its similar to buying stuff without a price tag. I would never buy something if the only way to know the price is to ask.
it works just fine because people generally earn the same depending on education, experience and profession. There are tools online to check what range you can expect based on your parameters, and then there is some flexibility based on your person/skills. The salary is then negotiated during the application phase.
I can also concur this ("salary is not shared upfront") varies from country to country.

I don't love things. I might like them, and I do like LibreOffice, Firefox and lot's of other OS software. I can't take your job, but I hope you find someone for the position! :-)

Who buys a Mac and uses FOSS? I feel like that venn diagram has very little overlap.
Uh, like, a ton of them. Especially developers. Ever heard of homebrew, dude?
Students who hate Google docs and donβt have the cash for word?
LibreOffice is a good productivity suite in its own right. And there's a fair amount of Mac-specific FOSS. Some people just like the Apple ecosystem I guess.
Yeah, it's a weird combo for FOSS because macOS is quite the opposite of what FOSS stands for. However, quite a few people think it's the best and.. I don't know
