I voted for democrats because I didn't want Trump. The US is a two party system, and that's not changing anytime soon. If there was a real third option, I'd vote for it.

You can demand either party to cave to your demands if they want your vote. The one who needs the votes more will eventually need to take your position if they know you will not vote for them otherwise.

If you want to avoid supporting genocide you’ll have to leave the US. We’ve been pro genocide since 1492.

We’ve been pro genocide since 1492.

eeeh, that's kinda, a hands off way to describe it.

We’ve been genocide pros since 1492.

The difference is there's one you can do, right now, unilaterally, with absolute ease.

The other is much, much harder and an ongoing project fighting entrenched interests that can ALSO be worked on simultaneously.

It's like saying you didn't take out your garbage for 6 months because you haven't finished your thesis paper.

Actually you can, right now, unilaterally, an with absolute ease, not excuse the Democrats supporting genocide.

[–] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Done. Not excused.

Now can they get off X?

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago

Well I'm certainly not on X

Garbage interpretation of the election

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah. Centrists didn't excuse genocide. They celebrated it.

[–] aubeynarf@lemmynsfw.com 4 points 2 days ago

Wow they’re all here!

The brunching, good-for-nothing liberals are going to be furious when they read this meme.

Of course genocide was okay when the Dems supported it.

Of course genocide was okay when the Dems supported it.

Past tense? They still support it. They just have to pretend they don't like it because trump is president.

You're right. I meant to infer when they were the ones in charge, but you're right.
