Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.

Keir Starmer has been warned by senior Labour figures to stop making mistakes, before a battle over the party’s deputy leadership and amid fears the government could row back on workers’ rights.

As candidates began to jostle to replace Angela Rayner, the prime minister faced public criticism from Emily Thornberry, a potential contender, who said further mistakes from Starmer could lead to having to “hand our country to [Nigel] Farage”.

Andy Burnham also called for a “reset” and more pluralistic style, telling the Guardian that the government needed to be “listening to the heartbeat of the party”.

Fucking lmao (razor sharp commentary)

But seriously there is something very comedic about the general nature of the complaint - just ‘stop making mistakes, man’ stop doing dumb shit idk, no need to be any more specific I suppose

Sadly, the person doing it doesn't have fore-knowledge that they are about to make a mistake. They don't know what to change. The advice has to be more specific.

One MP tipped Phillips as gaining support, saying she was “an ideal successor to Angela [Rayner]. Brave, strong, principled, clear values, great communicator, sounds like a normal person.”

I think she would be an awful choice. Far too entrenched in the battles of the culture war. The press would love it, but nothing of value would ever get discussed.
