Always strange how enthusiastic friends from the americas are about dogging, cottaging, and double-fisting.

When you copy and paste an image from a web browser (an image, not the original file), it often puts it in the paste buffer as a png.

So it's not impossible for someone, without realising, to paste a 50MB image in a reply.
With a decent internet connection, you might not even twig.
And if the server isn't set with filesize limits and transcodes, you can end up with a very small number of images taking up a very large amount of space.
Common examples are hi-res paintings/movie posters with grain, or poor quality (but high resolution) photos with lots of sensor noise.

To me, it feels like cities get people who've been backed into a corner by capitalism.

Where their only option to make enough money to survive is a badly paid job in a city where their only option for accommodation is small and not pleasant.

And a lot of the feel of a city is reflected by that.
If you are forced to work 50+ hours a week on unpredictable contracts, and your entire world shrinks to a bedroom, a car choked walk to work, and Tesco Metro, you're less likely to be saying "good morning" to people as you pass them.

I'm the complete opposite: I don't like rinsing under a running tap, so a single bowl means farting around with a container for the rinsing water.

While ElevenLabs have done something good in making this service (I'm reticent to call it software, as they can just revoke access any time), these overzealous restrictions will just lead to the FOSS community building something local that does the same.
