Trump should send in the troops to curb all that gang violence in Utah.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 26 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

you can spot those gang members everywhere in Utah, they wear similar clothing and travel on bicycle

I hear they also ask go to the same strange looking church like building for rituals

That not everybody can go in. What are they hiding in there?

Gonna go ahead and say I hated the guy but even I regret seeing that video. If you're sensitive to violence I suggest staying away from places it might be posted.

You know I'm pretty sure the guy who just got assassinated wasn't "loved and admired by ALL" just like, as a general rule.

Right in the neck. Rot in the ground.

Time for musk to start parading his kids around again.

Glad he's dead. Hope he is the first of many and that the shooter is never found.

Also normalize calling any liberal a fascist who is trying to introduce gun control even though this is the best case scenario of an armed populace.

A shot like that from that distance.... That's not just anyone that's got hold of a gun.

Part of me thinks he was a sacrificial lamb and what follows is authoritarian reaction

My thoughts exactly, there's no way MAGA doesn't use this as an excuse to escalate repression massively. It's exactly the kind of violence they have been hoping to provoke as justification.

Definitely.... Whether it was a false flag/sacrifice or not, they will certainly be incredibly reactive and blame/punish anyone that is left of Mussolini

this guy gets it

This is an outlier, not a trend: so other than reading the obituary with satisfaction it’s not relevant to me

I have two questions:

Other than saying "Gun deaths are worth keeping the 2nd amendment",
and "I can't stand the word empathy" making his gun death ironic,
did he say or do things that are as vile as Lindsey Graham
or as unhinged, untruthful and provocatively violent as Alex Jones?
All I know him for is "the white supremacist that's against the Palestine genocide (for his own reasons)"
and someone that doesn't get that job security allows for allows for more children, not anything else,
while he harps about not enough (Anglo-American) babies being born in the US.

And considering what happened
and as a tribute to Charlie Kirk,
should we arm more people?

No matter how much of an ass he was, no one deserves to die like that...

[–] emmie@lemmy.ml 7 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

It is a quick good death. 2 seconds of pain maaaybe and then blackout

Most people don't have privilege to die like that but suffer for days and weeks

Heck, even perfectly hunted game dies slower I think or similarly

[–] PanArab@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 weeks ago

It’s a small price to pay to have the second amendment.

His words not mine.

[–] procapra@lemmy.ml 5 points 3 weeks ago

Disagree, lots of people deserve to die like that, and in much more graphic ways.

[–] PanArab@lemmy.ml 4 points 3 weeks ago

Given that he supported the genocide in Gaza he got off easy, he deserves worse.

[–] dreadbeef@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

your death will probably be more painful and you will suffer more than he did

he was fortunate
