I would be so pissed at dad.. not only did he cut hibernation short, but now I'm getting yelled at by a stranger who's also forcing me to go skiing?

The instructor really needs to work on his pedagogical skills. I don't think it's generally recommended to insult one's students, calling them a "cowardly weakling".
