I heard vance had a stroke to after sitting on a particularly comely and plush Chesterfield.

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

He also had a bizarre finish that confused everyone

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 32 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I believe Trump has had multiple strokes in the year or so at minimum. I’ve said this before on different posts, but my grandmother passed away in 2008 of a massive stroke, but leading up to that she had many smaller strokes that slowly debilitated her took away her voice and she slowly developed dementia and Alzheimer’s looking at Trump in just the last year, something major is going on internally inside of them. It’s only a matter of time before something. Major happens hopefully live on TV. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

He doesn't eat burgers on live TV so we won't get to see him have a heart attack

I am just going to take this moment to thank 'FistingEnthusiast' for bringing us this timely news update.

[–] JHRD1880@lemmy.world 44 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I wouldn't call it 'concern'. Maybe 'hope' is a better word for it ?

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 16 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I have my everything crossed

[–] krooklochurm@lemmy.ca 6 points 18 hours ago (5 children)

Who knew? Campaign speeches from both sides were correct. Both Biden and Trump we’re too old to be viable candidates

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 99 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Can't help but notice the Biden is old and demented crowd has gotten pretty quiet lately

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 82 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

I really want Biden to outlive Trump

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 40 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

And I want Bernie to outlive both of them

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 16 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago) (1 children)

He’s the oldest, but most mentally healthy by far. If his heart hangs in there he should be able to.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 9 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

It’s fucking wild to me that he’s still sharp as he is, especially when in juxtaposition to Biden and fuck face

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 12 hours ago

It's far from inevitable that old people get brain-rot. The risk increases with age, but is never overwhelmingly high.

My grandfather made it to 101, and he only slowed down a bit mentally in his final year, and even then, more because of his hearing getting much worse than due to any cognitive decline. I'm a strong chess player, and he could still hand me my ass when he was in his late 90s.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 12 hours ago

Yeah, and I'm also OK with Biden checking out whenever it's his time, as long as Trump goes before he does, and Trump's demise is a morass of fear, untreatable pain and humiliating degeneration.

[–] TipRing@lemmy.world 57 points 21 hours ago (10 children)

I am starting to think he has already received a terminal diagnosis of some kind and we're just seeing him moving through various stages of his narcissistic personality trying to deal with it. His obsession with stopping a war of some kind (to try to get into heaven), his posting of the magic cure-all beds video. He knows his time is short and is desperate to find a loophole to immortality either through science or religion. His energy has been dropping precipitously and his ramblings are more incoherent than usual.

This could all just be wishful thinking on my part though. His death through natural causes may be a way out of this nightmare, or at least slow things down enough for a chance at recovery.

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 24 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I think you might be on to something there

I hope whatever it is takes him soon, and I hope it hurts the whole time

[–] dirthawker0@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

If he's aware of his decline, that's pain, especially for someone who has been as unaccountable as he has been.

I know!

I have a special bottle of champagne standing by

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 47 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

I have a collection of several small bottles of rum in a giftbox, each but one customized with a ribbon with the names Trump, Putin, Musk, Murdoch and Orban printed on them respectively.

It lools really classy...

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 10 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I like how there's room for 1 more

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 6 points 14 hours ago

I call the undedicated bottle: "The bottle of the unknown bad guy", sort of like you hear about a famous death on the news and immediately think "Good riddance!".

With how absolutely nuts he's been acting this last week, I would not be surprised if he's completely lost the plot by now. It's like he's trying to do all the crap he planned for all 4 years in just 2 months because that's how long the doctor thinks he'll live.

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 11 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

Are people now pretending he hasn't been batshit insane for over a decade?

[–] Soulg@ani.social 2 points 6 hours ago

You can't deny that he has been orders of magnitude worse than he was before

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 6 points 12 hours ago

Something can be bad and yet still get worse.

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

No, it's worse.

[–] whiwake@lemmy.cafe 18 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Well, it’s getting to the end of 2025, and no one has a project 2026, so I think they want to make everything happen soon.

[–] brunchyvirus@fedia.io 16 points 19 hours ago

The problem is the primary goal of project 2025 was to focus heavily on the "mandate for leadership". Which is to replace key federal leadership positions with like minded conservatives within the first 180 days of the presidency. The reason being that even long after the Trump is out of office they will still have control.

This was something they believed hurt Trump the most during his first term and were so focused on in his second term. Funny enough he whole Doge/Elon Musk actually fucked up and slowed down their effort. Maybe that was a factor on musk leaving who knows.

Regardless though, it doesn't matter what health issues or whatever happens to Trump now, he's pretty much already help pave the way for them. We will be dealing with the consequences of this for decades.

[–] fittedsyllabi@lemmy.world 9 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Having a stroke? He IS the stroke.

[–] MummifiedClient5000 8 points 17 hours ago

The stroke's calling the shots now, Randy.

He isn't the one with strokes, dementia or mental decline .... all of us are for continuing to accept that this orange clown is a significant leader that deserves our attention.

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 15 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Not my leader

I'm grateful every day that I'm not a yank

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 12 hours ago

I'm a Yank and he's not my leader either. He's just a scummy dictator.
