I picked up a Pepita and her three daughters a while back from a TNR. She doesn't like me. But she has decided my bed is the second best place to my wife's lap. When my wife goes to bed. And if she's there I can pet her. But not the rest of the time. The rest of the time I'm an enemy to everything she stands for. Whatever that is.
The fact that you can pet her, even if it's only under certain circumstances, is great! Trust can take years to form, but it's always rewarding
