I just hated rose in every single way when i first saw the movie. Never understood people liking the character.
Boobs
It's funny, because the movie managed to bridge the chasm that is American puritanism. They threw boobs in a PG13 movie and parents were like you gotta see this shit child. It was an impressive feat.

It makes up for the murder
The sex appeal of # Kate Winslet.
Rose just sucks all around. She's a bad daughter, partner, wife, and mother/grandmother. She should have died and not Jack.
I always found it interesting how they portrayed her in that movie. Her character is made to be the old sweet lady who tells her last nice story. That story was how she hooked up with some guy 50 years ago.
And she threw the Heart Of The Ocean in the sea so Bill Paxton couldn’t have it, even after he gave her a ride on his pimped-out boat.
I know this jewel Ive been holding on to for decades could create generational wealth for my family.... But I'm going to throw this bitch in the ocean because I am old and sad.
Her last day was spent reminiscing about the rando she banged rather than her husband and kids. Rose sucks.
There no real guarantee that Jack would've turned out to be a better person, had he lived.
I mean there is this take off a poor, aspiring artist from Vienna from shit the same period who turned out to be a really shitty person.
We have nothing that suggests Jack is a bad guy. We have a lot that suggest Rose was crap from the beginning.
I know, I just floated the poor artist trope and implying he could've turned out like Hitler (who was an impoverished painter in the year the titanic sank.
