Again, not a drag queen.

It's the wrong way to reach the right conclusion.

But yeah if you take care of the needs of the people, like housing, social medicine and so forth they will be more productive, will create more children and -as unintended side effect- be happier.

Squeezing people for every penny will make them more prone to revolt, so it's basic reasoning: of you're rich and want to remain that way, take care of the people doing the work!

Could be, but it's rather speculative to legislate on that in the current.

I think it's healthy for politics to have more youthful individuals in the mix. And I think it's also important that the elderly are protected from themselves (thinking about McConnell and Feinstein).

If there's a minimum age, because of competence, there should be a maximum. It can then always debated about suspending that or raising the age if it's medically appropriate. But if rather see people retire in good health and spending time with their grandchildren.

I've tagged them as 'more like hasbara'

Whilst I do get tired of the idea that old English was pronounced that way, I still adore the fact that in TF2 medieval mode all chat was auto corrected to 'faux medieval'.

And for a mandated maximum age for politicians

And the Drumpf family as well.

How about all non-native Americans?

For anyone that's in for a bit of philosophy about the concept of the panopticon (a prison where everyone is always observed) following the thought of Michel Foucault:

Thanks for this interaction

I'm not conflating it, I'm saying it's human psychology to pay more attention to the more horrible outcome, rather than to how likely a situation is to happen.

ICE ICE baby

I was quite excited as I've never owned a car with low enough kilometrage to have this happen before.

I needed to make the pun desprately

Last couple of days there's several issues with the UI. Thumbnails fail to load and symbols and letters are missing all over.

I have a thing with museum attendants chairs and photograph them.

Hi there!

Seeing the enshittification of Windows unfold, I'm curious about trying out Linux.

I don't want to move over my main machine just yet, but I've got a 9 yo HP Pavilion 15-e001ed spare laptop I want to experiment with. Eventually I want a gaming laptop that can run steam games.

When I googled I found a plethora of pieces of advice, but seeing the proselytizing for Linux here, maybe I could get a bit more personal advice as a potential conscript.

So what advice would you give me to start my journey into Linux?

UPDATE: Ok my cherry is popped, writing this from a fresh Mint install. It's suprisingly smooth sailing. Only thing is somehow software gets installed on my root partition instead of the home partition I made because people told me so.

But overall not nearly as dounting as I thought it would be. Thanks for the help everybody!
