Just firefox really, never had any real issues
Firefox. My daily driver is an iPhone and I just use Safari there, but we have uBlock Origin Lite now. But on Android it's Firefox with full fat uBlock Origin. As it happens, I'm on the Android device now! I love its keyboard so much. Apple couldn't make a keyboard to save their arse if it came to it.
I tried iOS for about 5 months and the absolute worst part was the horrendous keyboard...
I use Fennec F-Droid with uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Decentraleyes, and HTTPS Everywhere.
Though sometimes I've contemplated switching to the Guardian Project's Firefox Klar
Every browser that I know of is open aource. But I use Orion!
I love Orion! It's a little clunky but I love being able to use the full UBlock Origin.
Ironfox is ok. Though it's not fully open source (the ui isn't) I use Vivaldi
Not much people know Iceraven, yet its pretty good android web browser I can trll. Extensions make it even better :)
Firefox for Android doesn't use chrome and has extensions including adblockers
Netscape Navigator 1.0. I think there's probably an update for it now.
There is like 2 browsers, Firefox, or all the chromium based ones?
That's pretty much it for Android currently. There are a few more choices for PC.
There is a new browser in development called Ladybird, but a stable release is still years away and they are focusing on desktop support first.
ironfox + ublock
fDroid repository = https://fdroid.ironfoxoss.org/fdroid/repo
firefox klar
for sites that i don't visit regularly which need java & cookies
fDroid guardianProject repository = https://guardianproject.info/fdroid/repo
i use fennec f-droid with ublock origin and numatrix
Vanadium for web apps, Cromite with auto delete for random websites, and IronFox with various plugins for web searches
I use the one that's funded by Google.
I see what you did there
Ironfox & Vanadium as main search, and Tor as the default, for opening links.
I've liked to use Fennec for few months now.
StartPage browser and one simply named Browser with a blue shield icon
Best is subjective and recommendations would depend on your use case. Iceraven is my primary.
Define "best"?
Brave for me.
DuckDuckGo, i like the "burn everything" animation (and functionality, but mostly the animation)
Is it open source though?
Edit: Yes it is. https://duckduckgo.com/duckduckgo-help-pages/open-source/opensource-overview
All browsers are based on an opensource model, even google chrome. A privacy respecting, fully opensource browser, in my opinion LibreWolf, make sure you can update it semi-automatically. If not Arkenfox or Brave.
Ironfox I think
EDIT : typo
Mull for everyday-use or Vanadium for pages which need a chromium-based browser
Isn't mull discontinued? Work on it is continuing as IronFox
I thought Fennec was the continuation of Mull, but I checked and you're right, it's IronFox. Am dummy.
oh, thx, I missed that news. time to change
I use Ultimatum. It's more sirious take on Chromium with extension support, which was only a test.
Ironfox. Not particularly happy with it, though. Websites keep breaking.
you can give sites some slack from settings > ironfox settings
