See also Magna Carta (An Embroidery). It's an 1.5 m × 13 m embroidery of the entire Wikipedia article on Magna Carta.
When I first heard about it, it seemed like an absurd waste of time, but it turned out to be quite neat. The documentary video explains the project pretty well (07:39 long).
Neat. Seems like it would take a lot of effort. I wonder if anybody's ever made a book that way.
Several Irish monks had that idea but found quill and vellum much more practical
Can we get a font based off of needle point? It would make a better comic sans imo. Call it Needle Sans or something. There is a certain charm to it.
