What happened last week?
Disgusting sick individuals are spamming images that no one should see to various instances.
Holy crap! I'm glad I didn't see it... Why can't people just stop doing that kind of disgusting crap?!
Two things come to mind - your instance might have restricted image uploads because of the recent moderation situation, and another possibility is that the image file itself might be too big.
You could try uploading them to another image service (like imgur) and then use the imgur link in the URL field of your post
I've tried here and food porn and so on, I think all on lemmy world. Might be size too, is there a place I can find the limitations?
