An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.

https://dullmensclub.com/

1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

I have no news to report. Daily life continues. Nothing good or bad has happened. It has been a perfectly normal, average day. The weather is as to be expected for this time of year, the cat and I both ate a normal amount of food, everyone is safe. Nothing of note has occurred.

I have no strong feelings towards this one way or the other except that I'm glad that you and your cat have had a good meal.

Your neutralness, it's a beige alert. Tell my wife, "hello."

I am at a theme park with the kids..

I am sitting down, having an iced coffee, not riding rides or running around, resting in the shade in an effort to prepare for the long drive home while everyone else in the car probably falls asleep....

It's 2 AM where I am; I take it you're somewhere in the Old World?

Or ~Australia. It's also mid-winter where I am and shade isn't at a premium.

I mean, greetings from the other side of the planet. Sometimes I forget how cool it is that we can do this.

What a weird place we occupy in history; not many before us would on occasion find himself accidentally talking to someone on the other side of the world.

All this cat talk and not a single photo.

Izzy, roosting on the arm of the couch.

"If nothing much happens, I'm thankful. A happier cabbage you never did see, My vegetable spirits are soaring. If you're after excitement, steer well clear of me. I want to go on being boring."

This may be unexciting but this is a very fortunate thing to be experiencing. Boring is something that we shouldn't take for granted.
