It will use use camera based self driving, crash into a stopped object, and burn. Pilot burns as well since the locks are electric with no manual backups.

You don't have to buy an entire new pc for that.

It can be your fault, but if the distro is supposed to be easy and you haven't messed with its internals, it's probably the distro's fault.

My #1 priority when choosing a distro was that it's widely used and easy, because I don't want to deal with that exact kind of shit.

Over ten thousand? That's, like, more than a HUNDRED!!

You weren't kidding.

Used corporate fleet laptop like a thinkpad, install linux mint on it.

You can spend so much time finding out which distro is the best for you, but if you don't want to spend that time, just go with mint, it'll do the job.

Don't count on it.

Community for technical art - shaders, modeling, rigging, etc.

I know I created two new communities almost in a row, but this is a cool topic.

Bring your PlayStations and Dreamcasts.

This community is about generic technical and graphics stuff, roughly focusing on old (3D) game consoles.

Repost from no clue where, but my god it feels good

The current definition of Photoshop Nonsense in the sidebar is very vague and the rules are nonexistent.

So let's try to come up with something. Here's my draft for the rules:

Yes:

  • Weird surreal image edit art
  • Other edited images, such as game / movie / cereal / whatnot cover art

No:

  • Memes
  • Politically motivated posts
  • NSFW
  • AI generated images or automatic filters:
    • Using generated images in source material is OK, but the "photoshop" part must be real human labour.

I'll leave this discussion open for a while before committing the rules.

I used to practice this art actively.

Also, does anyone have a less jpeg-deepfried version of this?

I made a simple timer app for Android, desktop, and browser. I think it's ready for most part, and I'm starting to look into publishing it.

I decided to start with Android / Play Store, which immediately gives me a roadblock. Google Play Console says:

  • Have at least 20 testers opted-in to your closed test (1 tester currently opted-in)
  • Run your closed test with at least 20 testers, for at least 14 days

I want to look into F-Droid and Flathub once I have this sorted out. But before that, any opinions on the app, or volunteers for testing, as I don't have 20 friends to ask?

Thanks.

Edit: Let's try Play store again with this: https://groups.google.com/g/jyl-test-group

Edit 2: It works, at least someone besides me was able to join:

What a pain. I'll look into preparing an F-droid release as soon as I have time.

I learned of this thing's existence about a year ago when someone with this thing asked for help in reddit.

It's a ceiling lamp. With a bluetooth speaker. It's in constant pairing mode allowing anyone to connect whenever.

The person complained about hearing the neighbours' cooking instructions and that their teenager cranks the music to max volume while figuring out why there's no sound.

Some 5 years ago I used the toilet in a mall. Their urinals all had screens showing Android (4?) home screen. The screens were replaced with printed ads later.

Picture is from internet as I have lost mine since, but the product is same
