GIVE IT TO ME BABY

“Software specifically engineered to be digital crack is bad for people who use it and good for the profits of digital crack dealers”

I think AI needs to go in the pile with freemium/gacha games and FIFA/2K/CoD/all the other dark pattern garbage at this point.

That dog creeped me out as a kid. Microsoft did not do 3D well.

And... all the Nintendo Adults have made it clear over the decades that "Corporations aren't your friends. Except for the one with Mario. #StandUpForNintendo"

I must be in a hell of a bubble but the stereotypes I’m familiar with are as follows:

  1. “Nobody hates Nintendo more than Nintendo fans” and

  2. “Nobody hates Nintendo fans more than Nintendo.”

They make it impossible to enjoy damn near any of their older games without piracy. Their hardware is objectively worse performing than other consoles of the time. And they price gouge like a mfer.

I still play my Switch and my old 3DS but I’m doing my damnedest not to give them another cent directly if I can help it.

To (vaguely) quote Dr. Seuss:

“The people who mind, don’t matter and the people who matter, don’t mind.”

All positive publicity is good, the more people outside our little niche bubble are exposed to it the better.

Killing Windows influence in gaming wherever possible is an improvement.

Oh god I’m sorry modding on Linux is painful. I did it some years ago but it’s been a minute - my best guess would be to use LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool) since that spits out very specific package/dependency issues in text form.

Hopefully you can get it sorted, Godspeed in the meantime. /gen

Perhaps self-directed compassion would be a better fitting term?

Empathy is about feeling what others feel, where compassion is usually associated with acts of showing kindness. As another commenter has mentioned, being reminded to be nice to yourself in a situation can be important.

I'm updated through the AUR, and said update pushed just a few hours ago.

My default search engine (a custom Searx instance) keeps being overridden to DuckDuckGo when I reopen my browser. I deleted the line in the about:config about 5 times now, to no avail. Anyone else having this problem?

Mildly edited for salty language
