Nebula is absolutely amazing, but it's a very specific niche. I don't think that kind of model could ever work outside of that genre of educational, super high production value content.

using chrome in 2017 was embarrassing. using chrome in 2023 is just sad.

Mike Ybarra confirmed this is not the case. They will launch directly from Steam.

Redfall's development was started years before Microsoft acquired Zenimax. They had nothing to do with any of the GAAS stuff in that game. In fact people at Bethesda were hoping that Microsoft would cancel Redfall because its development had been so troubled, but Xbox apparently has a very hands off approach with their studios. Maybe that will change in the wake of Redfall's disastrous release.

I've cancelled various subscriptions through Microsoft probably 10 times over the last 15 years and never had any issues. In fact my experience is often that the bigger the company the easier it is to cancel things or get a refund. Hell Amazon has on multiple occasions just sent me money for something I wanted to return and told me to not bother even returning it.

Obviously I'm not defending megacorporations - they're fundamentally incompatible with a moral society, but of my many complaints with them, "Their products don't work" or "Their customer service is subpar" is almost never one of them.

Yeah I used PowerDeleteSuite to “edit” and “delete” all my history, and it sure looked like it worked. When I go to my user profile and look under posts and comments nothing is there, but I am getting replies on comments from years ago (which is already stupid on its own) and there’s my comment, completely unedited and public🙃

Not enough to matter. Not even out of step with any other social media site lol. We’re doomed

EA isn’t losing any licenses that matter. They just can’t use “World Cup” but they still have every team, player, and logo licensed.

Yes. 2023, at least from a AAA perspective, is probably the best gaming year we’ve had in at least half a decade. Many of the covid delays are finally reaching their conclusion this year.

For indies/AA it’s always hard to tell until the end of the year because so many things come out of nowhere. But with stuff like DREDGE, Darkest Dungeon II, Wildfrost, and Hifi Rush already out plus demos for future 2023 games like Jumplight Odyssey and Norland being great it seems like a pretty solid year on that front as well.
