@PixelPassport Artemis will be here before you know it.

@Gamers_Mate I hadn't heard about it before that day. I started looking for Reddit alternatives as soon as the whole API thing happened (which I found out due to a popup in RIF). I did have a Mastodon account, but didn't really understand the Fediverse until sometime this week.
FWIW I was on Reddit for twelve years and people complained about the good old days twelve years ago.
@ernest just want to thank you for all of the hard work you've done and are doing. Kbin is something really special and you've been going above and beyond with it.
It was fighting words to say Kubrick was overrated in film school-- people would get really mad about it! (I admit, I do really like the Killing, but that's about it).
And I saw the Matrix multiple times as well! It's okay to like action movies, and sometimes they even have real value too!
I went to film school, and had to watch 2001 like five times in classes, breaking down every little element of it. And you know what? I also think it's boring and pretentious AF. The fx and production design are incredible, and parts of it are good enough, but other than that it's just Kubrick demonstrating how much smarter he thought he was than everyone else (I am not a fan of his films, if that wasn't clear enough).
I did enjoy the book a lot, though! If you haven't read it I think you'll be surprised how it tells the same story, just better.
As a vinyl DJ, I'd say the Wheels of Steel: the legendary Technics SL-1200 direct drive turntable. Though they make newer ones, the vintage ones can go for a grand a piece (if it was in excellent shape) or as little as $500 a piece of they're beaten up. With servicing those things will run forever, they're the gold standard for a reason.
Yassss I'm supporter 666🤘
I haven't heard it called Rexxit yet, and I wholeheartedly support the naming convention.
@Girlparts I'm running PowerDelete Suite right now and it is very bittersweet for me. 12 years of heavy participation, poof, gone like dry leaves in the breeze.
