I would have to say organized religion. I grew up in a pretty strict christian home, but as I grew older I began to see how much of what I had been told was just patently false and designed to manipulate and control. I have done a lot (decades worth) of studying and reading and I'm confident that the conclusions I have arrived at are correct. Of course, your mileage may vary.
Yeah, I've never had to deal with swarms of insects splattering against my windshield. We've never had that, here. But a few here and there every time I drive.
Yeah, I was going to say - when was the last time this didn't happen?
Look.
Trump could throat-punch a homeless orphan in the middle of a church on Christmas Day and there's not a single judge in this country who would send him to jail. The man is untouchable. He's been convicted of 34 felonies and hasn't spent a single day in jail. He was impeached TWICE during his last term and still hung on to the presidency.
The only thing we can do is wait for the evil fucker to die of old age. That's it.
Bandcamp is your friend. Check out an artist called 'The Secession'. You can also check him out on the Youtubs.
It's pretty much a thankless job 80% of the time - which is why I have to take my joy from the act of creating something and NOT from the approval and appreciation of my players. It's sad that it has to be like this, but it's always been this way - at least in my experience.
I cry (or at least feel a very strong impulse to cry) from good stories all the time. If the stories you're partaking of aren't making you feel something, then I feel as though they're a waste of time and not really well written.
Anytime you use YouTube, you're using AI. Anytime you use a web browser that gives you 'search suggestions', you're using AI. Those are just two very simple examples. You're sorely mistaken if you think AI isn't being forced upon you every single day.
