All my cars, bar one, have been manual transmission, as is my current one. To be honest, as I'm lazy, I do prefer auto, but it's easier to buy a car with manual transmission here in the UK, as you have more options.

For a moment there, I thought your second sentence was going to be confessing that you were also a landlord.

Well, yeah, I get that, even if I don't find those episodes bad myself, but I do think episode two, Bojack Hates the Troops, is a really good satirical episode that shouldn't be missed.

Wimmy wham wham wozzle!

I've just found this article about Futurama on The Independent, a UK newspaper. It comments on the changes in Futurama reflecting the changes in society in general.

I've signed in a few times to lemmy.world using Firefox over the last week.

Sorry for being the annoying "not for me" guy. ;-)

Is there a possibility that it's an issue with the desktop Firefox? Maybe it's sending "garbage" to Sync due to profile corruption, etc. The passwords in your desktop Firefox work fine? Maybe try clearing its cache, if you haven't already, or go nuclear by creating a new profile, then set it up as you want, and adding your passwords, then using that new profile to see if you can sync your passwords, etc. Sorry, but other than that drastic action, I'm out of ideas.

One other thing, do your browser history and bookmarks sync?

Ouch, that's not good.

Have you tried force stopping and deleting the cache in Firefox for Android? Maybe you might need to clear its data and reinstall Firefox for Android again, which might force Sync to work. It's possible your profile is corrupted. You might well lose some settings if Sync doesn't repopulate, but it seems that you've already lost stuff due to Sync not working.

My desktop Firefox syncs my passwords to Firefox for Android quite well.

However, yeah, I do think that Firefox's development over the years has gone a bit awry with the attempt to out-Chrome Chrome. It's still the best browser out there, though.

Here's hoping that there'll be a season four of The Orville. It'd be a pity that the show would end without proper closure.

Currently, it all seems to be rumour and nothing concrete about any upcoming season. Some of the actors say that there have been talks, so it seems that there might be some hope.

I'm just putting this post up because this community is dead.

I'll end this before Bortus tells me: "You shall be quiet!"

Why not try to convince yourself by actually trying it for a week. Do your own hands-on research, as you'll have a better appreciation of the browser. It's not as if your device is going to explode if you try something other than Brave.

Thanks for being both informative and open about this issue. Hope it works out.

Edit: The first two versions of this post didn't seem to send: spinning post button. Maybe it's not fixed or it's struggling?

Welcome to the world of tomorrow!

One feature I'd love to see on Firefox for Android is the ability to resize the fonts per site. There's a general font resizing option that affects all sites, but it'd be great if there was an ability to have different setting per site. Sometimes making font sizes larger on one site will end up making other sites too large, and when lessening the size on some sites, makes them too small to read on others.

I use Firefox for Android Beta, which means I can install a wider set of addons than Stable. I've tried Zoom Page WE on Firefox for Android, but it doesn't work, which is a pity.

I suppose I should be putting this as a feature request at Mozilla, but thought I'd just air my thoughts here. Anyone know of any plans to introduce this sort of thing in future versions?

Anyone notice when on Lemmy and you go to choose some setting from the drop-down (Active, New, Old, Hot, etc) when using Firefox of Android, that the selection menu starts to flicker? I can select from it, but it does seem to interfere a bit doing so. Anyone else?

Might be the effects of that bug that's causing Lemmy to constantly scroll new posts that's going to be fixed in the next Lemmy update (0.18).

This is the latest Firefox for Android Beta, running on a Pixel 7 with Android 13.

Edit: Actually, this seems to also happen on desktop Firefox (stable on Linux), just maybe not as noticeable.
