Worst part of it was a few of them were not jokes. They actually shilled their own products in their apology video.

You don't buy them from your local supermarket that has a live feed of the tomato slaves out in the fields toiling away? My favorite part is the button they added that lets you auto-whip them on command.

Many people don't realize that the first colonies were founded by Christians that believed the churches in their home county were not being authoritarian enough. The wanted religious freedom, sure, but they wanted the freedom to be theocratic like you said.

Trump didn’t transform shit

Picking and choosing what parts of the Bible they want to follow is nearly as old as the religion itself. The first council of Nicea was the first large attempt for Christianity to define itself and create a canon. That happened in 325 AD. Even if we talk only about protestants, denominations are all about what parts of the bible they follow and how they translate the word to doctrine.

To attribute it to one man is so disingenuous. Christians have been interpreting the Bible in whatever way suits them best for over a millenia.

The FBI serves the government, not the people. Reporting things to the FBI as a citizen only works if what you are reporting aligns with the current goals of the FBI. If the government is ok with what Twitter/X is doing, the FBI doesn't give a shit. Behold the highly effective ~~bribery~~ lobbying system.

I was a libertarian until I vacationed in a country where taxes were used on its people instead of it military.

(Gross over simplification for comedy before anyone comes at me for my political beliefs)

It's probably a case of her thinking she can not defend herself out of fear of backlash. Teachers have been charged with assault when defending themselves from students.

there are other just like me.

I am right here, and there are many more. I quit reddit about a week before the blackout. I used to be a power user, I'm talking more than 3 hours a day easily. I made a few post, but most of my engagement was from comments. I quit cold turkey, actively avoiding reddit result from google searches.

Fast forward to today, and I still don't use it out of spite. I still avoid it if I can but if there are search results from Google that have answers to my specific problem on reddit, I will read the comments with ad-block on and move on to another website if the reddit link did not provide a solution.
