If you trust the initial install then unless there is a warning about the signing key you are good. Only signal devs can sign the builds so if you installed the play store version then updated with their standalone apk or fdroid version then it should just work as the signing key is the same.

Guardian project are just publishing signals apk files as the signature matches.

A friend recently started a group for feeding the homeless in our city. When we can, my wife and I buy some food and water and spend an afternoon handing it out. It isnt much and our taxes should be going to help these unfortunate folks but it helps and shows them there is still some humanity out there. It is a reminder to be thankful.

This has been my experience too. I have noticed the women I have trained learned faster, paid attention and did the work to the letter. The guys on the other hand, I would have to babysit and keep checking up on them.

What annoys me is the pay discrepancy too, I always make sure to speak up to management if I have a female on the team that I feel is being underpaid and I encourage them to ask for a decent raise when it is merited. It is a small act but equal responsibility deserves equal pay. Be the change and all that.

Nobody ever went to their deathbed wishing for more certifications.

That is some next level copium, No way will AI or robots give us more free time. It will be used to give us the boot so they dont need to pay us wages and benefits.

It could facilitate a massive change in society but that is not profitable in the short term so it won't be considered. It will be business as usual with more money for the insatiable greed of the ruling class.

They were great back in the day too. I used to have to use a ps2 to write to it as it had the weird connection at the back, I forget what it was called.

I remember I had discs of Tupac , Nirvana and Linken Park. There was others but thats all that stands out.

I use to use it when skating and unlike a discman it never skipped. It eventually died when I forgot to take out expired batteries and they leaked all over it.

So reminder take your batteries out when not in use

I like mini motorways and stardew valley. What about you ?

I was only able to play skate 3 so far with better performance than rpcs3. I didn't change any settings in the conf file. It is using the vulkan renderer.

I limit the fps to 30, TPD to 8 and GPU to 1200.

I'm trying a few games here and there to see but It can only improve over time.

I came across this as I needed to install some proprietary app to view a .pkpass file and I discovered this FOSS app instead that does the job and doesnt share the data with any third parties.

Anyway I'm just spreading the word.

The text below is copied from fdroid.

"Displays Passbook (*.pkpass) files & shows the Barcode (QR, PDF417 and AZTEC format). It can be used also when offline.

This app is a viewer for passes - a pass could be a e.g. boarding-pass for your next flight, a coupon for a nice hot beverage on the destination, a movie ticket, a membership card - there are a lot of possibilities. Basically it is a replacement for a piece of paper or plastic you would normally have to carry with you - so lets save some trees and reduce waste!

How does it work?

There are so called espass or pkpass files - you can open them with this app - e.g. when you receive them via email or get an Download-option. The most important content is the BarCode ( QR , AZTEC & PDF417which authorizes you most of the time - but it also has other interesting content like a description - often a time ( that you now can add to your calendar ) - often also locations ( to give you directions ) - just try It out! The app is offline usable once you downloaded the pass!"

With a comparison between apartheid South Africa and the Israel/Palestine conflict, this doc traces the future of one conflict from the past of another. Weaving the history of apartheid into the complex issues facing Israelis and Palestinians, it highlights the frighteningly similar laws and tools used by Israel and apartheid-era South Africa. It's a dark picture of the present but offers hope based on the peace that South Africa eventually found.
