You raise a very good point. It's important we remember some more empathy and understanding when we turn toward the internet.

I think one of the biggest drivers of this problem is how all of our social medias and news constantly funnel us into context collapse. Even this post that we're commenting on. These posts of screenshots from other social medias are basically always more fuel for the context collapse fire.

The editing of that video delivers the joke poorly

You're right and that is a beautiful example.

That ID still works! It seems the channel changed it's name.

Thank you so much!

I have a rather silly one.

Back in the old Youtube days, I think before Google took over. There was a fake parody trailer made for David Lynch's Dune. It basically reimagined the film with fart jokes. As immature as it was, it was still funny. But now it's long gone and I wish I could show it to my friends.

I still remember getting goosebumps from Baldur's Gate 2's menu theme back in the day. It really set the mood and made me excited to start.

A more recent main menu theme that impressed me was Hellpoint's. Together with the menu showing that black hole - it is just wonderfully ominous.

The only caveat is you have to mostly avoid AAA and other cheap trend seekers to find refreshing gaming experiences. But otherwise, I agree with you.
