Does DDG still have the same upward trend that they used to before Brave caught on?

Minifree is between double to triple the price of the same laptop on eBay. Libreboot is strictly an ideological matter, it doesn't help with privacy if software installed isn't configured a certain way and also what software is installed.

BIOS is not the bacldoor is. Also, if you don't build your on router, you can't garauntee who your router is sending packets to. Also DNS makes a different. Libreboot does not provide the protection think it does.

It doesn't help that Libreboot laptops are at least 10 years old. Those are some low resolution LCD screens compared the LED and full hi-def.

You should look at benchmarks in 2 weeks between the 770 and 4060 after it is released. Your 3600 is going to hurt performance if you buy really high end. In today's money, the price of the 4060 matches the original price of the 1060 6GB.

Beyond a new GPU, I would suggest building a whole new computer. If I can partially guess, I would say the 4 core i3 121000 would beat your 3600. I do know that the 12100 matches the 6 core i7 8700K.

One option is buy the best GPU you have extra money to spend on, and then in a year buy build a Ryzen 8000 system when those get released and then put your new GPU in your next system.

To give you an idea about performance, the 4060 Ti beats the 1080 Ti.

I use Austici because users can have 5 alias addresses, you can delete one and create a new alias, but has a limit 5.

Nobody has my true address, my main address, 100% everyone I email or give out my address are all different aliases. If one alias gets too much spam I delete and make a different one so spam doesn't reach my inbox.

Why you said makes me think the number of votes is wholly irrelevent.

What is interesting or helpful is entirely subjective, it's personal opinion. What is considered misinformation is entirely subjective. That makes me believe the voting count on a post means nothing for indicating the quality.

Considering how any majority of people typically react emotionally rather than have humility and respond with consistant logic, it seems personal opinion on a mass scale is an unreliable gage for quality of material.

What is the purpose of voting up or down on? I'm not clear what voting is suposed to achieve?

I never vote up or down on here in the same manner that I never click Like on any social media sites either, I don't see what the intent behind it is.

If AMD wanted to get real serious real fast about rapidly improving drivers, could releasing Radeon driver source code under AGPLv3 help get mass development and fixes for drivers, while at the same time due to the license make the code untouchable for nVidia?

What part of what I said did you take to mean that I want insults?

Are suggesting there should be conformity without divergance?

If Proton cared about privacy for VPN for clients, they would remove the login requirement and make ProtonVPN an anonymous services.

If there are concerns about abuse for the network, that's way the login, how could they figure that out without seeing people's traffic.

I use RiseupVPN and CalyxVPN for being open source and anonymous.

Until ProtonVPN removes login in their free client, it is not an option.

I've looked at Delta chat and have wondered if it's worth it. I only use webmail on computer for all of my emails because I need the screen real estate, zero email on phone. Phone is only calling and messaging.

Should I give Delta chat a try for doing long form emails including documents?

Not on the same level as SimpleX. With Briar and Session you have you have the same ID for everybody.

For SimpleX you can create a new random ID with each contact, so if you talk with 8 people, SimpleX will create 8 random ID's and each contact will see you as someone different than how the other contacts see you.

Is there anything better than SimpleX for total anonimity?

Although I also use Molly, a modified version of Signal, even with people that have my number for Signal I still prefer SimpleX for everybody, but unfortunately Molly/Signal is easier for some people.

Especially for things like resetting phone or changing phones, with Molly they know where I am and there's no need for an invite link with SimpleX, but I still grealy prefer it.

Why does Mastodon censor people worse than Twitter over hurt feelings? It seems multiple servers or instances prefer to ban account for using a bad word, rather than be an adult and let each person decide if they want to engage or not. Even going so far as ban an entire instance from other servers for not being nice.

Twitter users can block someone to not seem them anymore but accounts are not auto deleted because they used a word on a auto ban naughty list.

I personally condemn insulting other people, but in the real world when someone goes outside, nothing can be done about getting mocked or insulted and people have to continue on with their lives. How are people so scared of words and always run away rather than have the confidence to stand up for themself and punch a bully?

Mastodon will continue to stay wholly irrelevant and pointless until people can handle bad words and insults is unavoidable part of everyday life, unless their too scared to ever go outside again and are even scared to read certain words on a screen.
