For me, it's the best place for quick sports updates. Many writers have moved to bluesky, but many more have not. Sports Twitter is the sole reason I use it.

Norm about to be the heat's best scorer.

You're probably right. The last time I saw Firefly get brought up, there were many comments of people just shitting on it.

I live in one of the hottest areas in the US and I still find ways to get outside.

Is it too harsh to say to outside and interact with people?

I couldn't help myself:p

Only the LoTR books. In the earlier time periods they're very much a tool of the "good guys" to communicate.

I suppose it would depend on what I get out of it.

I really liked the palm pre. Fit well in the band and the slide out keyboard was awesome.

Links to tech news complaining about the tech. It's a sludge.

The Lord of The Rings. This book changed reading for me. I always enjoyed fantastical themes, but this one really got me. Then, I found out there was more. More background, more world building, more why.

I've never turned back. I re read it occasionally and I've read much of Tolkien's other works. Next on the list is to begin working through The History of Middle Earth. I will be starting this in the fall. It may take me quite some time to get through.

It's just as bad of an echo chamber as other sites. I have to actively "stop" browsing lemmy after a bit because I get annoyed at the repetitive nature of everything.

I've very much tried in the last few years to limit social media. I think it's been a benefit for me. I like social media, but having "stops" makes it more enjoyable and prevents the doom feelings.

I've been using summit for a few weeks or so now and I very much enjoy it. However, there's a quirk that I can't figure out. Is there a way to navigate to my subscription list quickly? The way that I do it now is tap on my profile and then I have to reach all the way to the top of my screen and hit subscriptions. I was thinking there should be a way to do this in the nav bar in the bottom but I couldn't figure it out. The "home" button takes me to what appears to be all instances.

I have recently purchased a home with solar panels. The previous owner didn't have a ton of information on them as she inherited the house from her mother who passed away. She has the purchase agreement, but the company that did the installation in 2014 has gone bankrupt (in 2020).

I'd like to somehow figure out how much energy I'm getting out of the panels. I got information from the previous owner on their electric bill, which shows me I won't be paying much. But that doesn't really answer my question about electricity generation.

Looks like I have 14 solar world Mono Black panels with model number 275.

Any advice on how I can go about figuring out exactly how much energy generation I'm getting?

Ancillary Information: the panels are owned outright. They were originally purchased with cash so no loan or lease on them.

I want to know if it's possible to have my feeds be completely separate if I have multiple accounts. I have two accounts I like to keep them completely separate from each other. It looked at first like that was happening on summit but then I realized that the accounts were being blended together and the results I would see on my feed was the combination of the two accounts. Is there a setting somewhere or something on the roadmap that will allow us to have these completely separated?

I will be moving into a new house in a few weeks. It's an older house (built in the 60s) and hasn't had much updates in terms of wiring. I want to be able to run a hardwire cable to each bedroom to maximize my Internet performance. My wife works from home and I'm hybrid, so I want to ensure we're not just flying on WiFi.

Are there any resources or how tos that can give me some information on where to start? What to look for? What to do first?

I'm struggling with figuring out what I should try to tackle. Should I just run an Ethernet line to the room that's an office and start there? Or is there some well thought out approach I can make?

I know this is probably vague, but any assistance would be appreciated.

I searched around and I couldn't find a way to cast my laptop running mint to my TV. For reference, I am aware that I can cast to Chromecast supported devices through chrome, but my TV is an LG and it does not support Chromecast.

Does anyone have a method to cast my desktop to an LG TV?
