Don't privatise. Railway lines are a monopoly. People who rely on trains get screwed over week after week but don't have any competitors to use instead.

I don't know how Germany's trains could actually be worse. It costs £100 to travel 50 miles on a train that has a fairly high chance of not even making it to the destination at all.

US news is getting a bit scary, seeing the president cosying up with the enemy and appearing to want to let them take Ukraine in exchange for half of their minerals means that I don't think we'll be considering them a close ally in the near future. At least not a reliable one.

US soft power is gone now. The sheer treachery displayed in this Ukraine move has completely lost the trust of all of its allies. There's no way anyone can afford to rely on them for anything now.
