In my mind it's because starting training to take care of your physical health is one of the first steps toward training your brain to take care of yourself as a whole.

It's also a lot easier to feel better about your existence if you have the physical ability to do get up and spend it doing something that gives you joy, like going for a longer walk than usual because the weather hits right

There's also potential link to how we as a species have survived- we had to keep moving to stay alive, so our brains throw a wobbly if we don't.

That's the false dichotomy im talking about, while it is entirely possible for more than one pedo to exist, it is entirely possible for someone to not trust the courts and still for a court case they agree with to convict someone (a stopped clock is right twice a day kinda bullshit)

Kevin spacey is the last person I'd call innocent, what with the distinct number of people that go against him get involved in mysterious fatal...accidents

And his 'I'm back' and 'kill them with kindness' videos

Its also a false dichotomy to say that a legal system such as America's is going to treat trump and spacey the same way and 'they can't acquit one and convict the other when they both did the same crime' They went up against VERY different courts under distinctly different circumstances (despite both of them diddling kids)

To tack on to the "Exercise really helps" messages; I can definitely recommend checking your local areas for things like climbing or bouldering gyms (Bouldering is the one where the wall is shorter but more 'technical' and you use crash mats instead of ropes) The people that frequent these gyms are usually real welcoming to new climbers, and the sport itself is a satisfying mix of having a low cost to entry, only being as difficult as you want it to be, thrilling when you finally figure a route or feel yourself progressing, and a little mentally involved (planning routes, judging distances and learning safe techniques)

(There's also a lot to be said for just going for a walk, since that's so cheap it's free, but there isn't aircon :D)

Absolutely 100% agreed on the "go for a walk" recommendation.

Take half an hour out of your day to raise your heartrate, you'll not only get your brain to start processing the things it's dealing with, but you'll also get exercise and a change in scenery.

If the weather's trash, clean or tidy your living area, the effect of having a clean space is very well documented (the "Even as a human, you are still an animal, and animals in enclosures get stressed and depressed if there's mess everywhere, so take charge of your own space and make it a comfy one." Meme that's floating around is genuinely real and not just lip service)

Personally the 'I can't motivate myself' thing is a trap I've fallen into many times, and just about the only thing that helps me is by saying "Bugger it. I'll do a little bit, and if I get out there and really ain't feeling it, I'll have at least done something."

Above all else, taking care of your body is a fast track to your brain feeling better

Protip; make sure to check the material is genuinely safe. Stainless steel, Glass and Platinum Silicone are about the only ones you want to get intimately involved with.

A lot of toys these days are made out of unsafe silicones (anything plastic or flexible that isn't made from platinum cure silicone will leech toxic chemicals over time) TPE, PVC, 'jelly rubber' and a number of other plastics. Because of the way they're made, these materials are porous, so will build up pockets of bacteria that can't be cleaned off with boiling or bleaching, simply because they break apart under high temperature or chemicals.

Short and sweet of it is that by spending a little more to get something that's worth it, you won't be putting your health at risk (also treat yourself, because nobody deserves a bad toy)

Leave that bottle of evaporated piss water where it belongs and get the fuck out of starbucks, then we might be talking

Wouldn't that be the gpt user that posted this screenshot? Someone making some kind of "I'm getting back at those pesky AI companies by costing them money" ... by pressing the "push to run a machine that burns the planet' button?

Or worse yet, it's an accelerationist willingly pushing the button.

If strength and weight wasn't an issue then compact folding is entirely possible, considering how they've been using foldable solar panels on satellites since the early days of spaceflight

A rolled panel however would have to use very thin and small cells, which would be less efficient

Incorrect, it's entirely possible for two paedos to exist at once.

If you search for 'Fiber reinforced hose' you should get something comparable (cheaper than anything that's labelled 'military grade' and fit for a lot of water lines PVC is decent and cheap, but if you're using it for drinking water try and get something that's silicone, just for safety's sake

Only thing you'll ever have to replace is the little rubber O-rings (I use these at work on the radiator fill ports and they're genuinely bombproof)

Get some proper reinforced hose and you'll never need to replace your garden hose / jetwash hose again
