Are badges currently functional? If so, how do they work/what is the purpose? in c/kbinMeta@kbin.social

I have also asked about Badges and not received an answer. I assumed they were like flairs too, but don't seem to actually do anything? That's the one thing I just can't really find any info on. Hopefully someone can answer this.

What are some communities you'd like to see on Lemmy that don't exist yet? in c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml

@thx1138 When I saw there wasn't one for my state on Kbin or Lemmy, I made /m/Utah. So maybe you can be the change in the world and make your state one. 😁
