This absolutely applies to me. I’m so sick of computers and software and security and subscriptions and vendors. I just want my own animal sanctuary with chickens and otters and baby goats god dammit!

I’ve always said this was the start of our descend into the hellscape that we’re currently stewing in. Having Gore's president, would have gotten strong internet/telecoms and environmental guardrails/legislation passed. At a time when we really needed to start addressing those things. Amongst many other things..

5 SCOTUS fucktards are responsible for where we are today. that’s my take at least.

Ha! I think I remember this photo. Was taken during lockdown. Was meant to convey ‘normalcy’

I’m so glad you asked! That little nub did eventually grow its last leaf and eventually fell off. So I was back to full nub. So I decided dig her up because I was really curious to see what the heck was going on with the root structure.

And man when I saw all the BABIES this mother had birthed. It was like a tiny potato harvest. I had at least 10 bulbs in the soil. So I nursed them. Some of them didn’t make it but some of them look like the big one you see here. Unfortunately it seems mother nubby is on her way out. She sprouted teeny leaf but that little leaf was very little and met its final demise by the hand of my new kitten crew. I need to dig it up again and see what brewing under ground.

These grow incredibly slow but there is promise that mama has passed on some strong children.

Please ignore the tape. I have some naughty diggers in this house haha.

Ask me again in another year of there progress!

When someone says pay the cat tax..

You don’t hesitate

This is good advice. I’m not sure I ever saw our bylaws so i will inquire with my neighbor about them. Luckily she’s a very good record keeper as well as myself so we’re high accountable people. We decided on a banks and will be setting that up this week.

Thank you!

Appreciate the advice KittenBiscuits!

Correct. We both have an equal vested interest in maintaining our house. I actually prefer calling it a cooperative rather than an HOA. I think I’ll do that. For better or worse, the only bullies in this cooperative are my cats. One of them is named Carol if that tells you anything.

In most circumstances, I’d agree with you.

I recently purchased [NJ] a condo. It’s a house comprised of 2 units.( these types of 2/3 unit condos are common in NJ.) When I purchased they said, congrats you’re an HOA president! Basically the sellers have setup an LLC for our HOA for both my neighbors and I. We are both new to this so we’re looking for advice on how to get started. Right now we’re trying to find a bank to work with. First I was trying to find a local credit unions but there doesn’t seem to be ones that works with HOA accounts, at least ones that are local. Also not sure if we should have an HOA management tool for just a 2 unit condo.

My understanding thus far is that we should build up our funds and then put some of that money in CDs and brokerage accounts, eventually. Would love bank/credit union recommendations or any other helpful resources (that’s not trying to sell us a product).

I am having a heck of a time trying to research why she is the way she is and what to do about it. She’s definitely alive. I harvested a lot of little baby seedlings in her roots (which are growing beautifully btw). I’d love if someone can help me understand why she is the way she is and what I can do to promote stem and leaf growth.

I’m knitting an Andrea Mowry shawl and I love the buttons she uses for this pattern. I just don’t know the name/style of these particular buttons.
