For romantic reason I think I lean more towards the community building side. There used to be a Hospitaller monastery in the city I live in, was built about around 1170 CE, was initially deserted around 1536 because of the reformation from Catholicism to Protestantism, which kicked out the monks (whom were most likely the reason Denmark got its flag, Dannebrog, as it's practically the same as the Knights Hospitaller), then converted into barracks for the light infantry, then into a castle, and finally around 1800 it was abandoned, and nearby farmers used the bricks from the ruin to build their own farmsteads.
And in the 1800s I'm pretty sure that stealing bricks wasn't just a minor offense. Of course, said farms probably perpetuated the exploitation of cheap working class labor for their own benefir, so not sure how great of a community those bricks built. So maybe I do lean more towards the side of throwing them..

Remember Jarhead with Jake Gyllenhaal?
They were literally depressed because they didn't get to shoot enough people..

I think the hate for Gnome is what keeps everyone else in check. It's like the sacrificial lamb or black sheep or whatever, it's the example preventing you not to go down that very same route.

~And~ ~that's~ ~probably~ ~the~ ~most~ ~flattering~ ~thing~ ~I'll~ ~ever~ ~say~ ~about~ ~Gnome.~

But at what cost.. At what cost..

Very good point. At least dogs recognize human expressions, but I don't know if horses have developed as deep an evolutionary bond as that.

That's alright nutsack. It's better to have posted and lost, than to never have posted at all. Or wait, is that about love?

I don't even play Apex Legends and I'm still a bit butthurt to this day that they decided to add anti-cheat that broke Linux compatibility. They say it helped bring the amount of cheaters down though, but who can really tell besides those who collect the numbers - which is them.

If you're asking it to add numbers below 10 there's an up to 5% of getting it right. And I doubt you're asking it to add 9+9 so probably closer to 10% and above if you're asking it to put, say, 4+4 together.
That said, I don't think they're dumb at all.
Out of animals their size, they've found a niche for sure and avoided becoming irrelevant for thousands of years (since ~3500 BCE).

I'd go with a more recent classic from Age of Empires, the monk and its "wololo" ability to convert enemies to become your unit. To keep it balanced, maybe it should only be able to convert certain pieces and taking more than 2 turns to complete its conversion as to give the opponent a chance to counter its special move.

EDIT: Totally off topic,but..
I just found out that if you put an evoker in minecraft next to a blue sheep, it'll do the wololo sound and convert it to a red sheep.
